                                      Multi-tasking

Multi-tasking is a large number of working at a time or a variety of thing to do at the same time. it is a very common thing in our life. Multi-tasking is very harmful for our brain. It could be damage any part of our body. we can not finish our specific work at our target time and it keeps going bothering us again and again so that we get tired and slow at our important work.

Multi-tasking makes a lot pressure our mind and thinking way. If we work a lot of things at a time our brain and thought goes different places which is too much destructive our brain and it prevents, what we want to think the right things. For this reason, a large number of people got brain stock and also it could be damaged other parts of our body. Recently, one of uncle of my wife, who was a city mayor in our back home, he was too much busy most of the day but one day he had a couple of meeting from morning to evening. He had to work a lot of pending official work at the same day. At the end of the day he got brain stock and it was very serious as we knew from the doctor. Primary physician also mention that he used to got a too much brain and physical pressure that's why it happened. he was treated around two weeks and finally he pass way.

We are not able to finish of our specific job at our target time. If we do only one thing and if we concentrate only that part we can be done easily. On the other hand, if we task a lot of things in a moment it will take a longer time to be done the job. Most of the time, we noticed that we can not finish our job but time is over and we can not go to our next one. We have to start the same job next working day it looks we are behind. For an example, I work Rite Aid Pharmacy as a supervisor. I make a list beginning at the work and I never finished because of multi-tasking.

One more things, multi-tasking makes us slow at work and get tired faster at our job. Also it makes less attentive in class for student. we usually seen that a large number of students in class room do a couple thing while the teacher delivering lecture so that the students are not enough attentive in there class. One statistics from University of Harvard showed that most of the students use laptop in their class room when they are being taught. It seems very disrespectful and they are not enough attentive.

At the end, I would like to say, multi-tasking is not good idea for work which is very danger for our brain. If we do it over and over we will get tired very quick. And this things also disrespectful for others.

  1. Hello. My Name is Valbona Lajcaj, and I am a student In Dr. Justin Rogers-Cooper, Seminar in Teaching Writing. I am writing because I would like to give you more ideas on how to expand your piece of writing. Thank you for taking the time to read my comment, it is greatly appreciated.
I want to start off with saying that Multi-tasking is a great topic to discuss in a paper. I really like that you start off your introduction by stating what multi-tasking is. In paragraph three, you may want to state what kind of job you are talking about so the reader knows. I really like the fact that you use yourself as an example as well. What kind of list do you make?? Get more into detail.
Your conclusion would need a few more reasons as to why multi-tasking is not a good idea. Why is it dangerous for our brain? What is so bad about multi-tasking...?
Overall i think that you have a great piece but just need to add more details and explain your reasons more.
I enjoyed reading this blog and would hope you would take my comments into consideration.
Thank you very much for allowing me to post on your blog.

  2. Hey, my name is Ada Patruno and major is in Early Childhood Education. I am currently taking Seminar in Teaching Writing, which is instructed by Dr. Justin Rogers-Cooper. I would like to share my though with you regarding your essay.
Your introduction paragraph is nice because you define the terms of your title, Multi-tasking. Your main idea is clear-“multi-tasking is very harmful for our brain”. If you can introduce the pro side of multi-tasking to contrast your against position it should be fun to start up your argument.
The first supporting paragraphs has textual connection with respect to your personal experience, which is convincing to the reader (me).
The second and the third supporting paragraphs can probably be developed a bit deeper. For instance, regarding your daily work list in the second paragraph, does anyone benefit from your multi-tasking? If your employer hires more staff, do you still need to preform multi-tasking? What purpose does the multi-tasking serve in a working environment?
The outside resource being quoted in the third supporting paragraphs, “most students use laptops in classrooms,” serves a remote relationship to your main idea, which is “multi-task is very harmful for our brain”. How to tie this statistics to support your main idea? Or if it fits in?
Last but not least, the last paragraph-conclusion is the best place to convince your readers about your main idea and a brief summary of your points will help the readers follow your thoughts better.
Generally speaking, your writing has a good backbone, which includes introduction, supporting paragraphs from personal life, working environment and academic setting, and a conclusion. It would be great to see you focus more on developing further your thoughts in these paragraphs as well as some grammar concerns. Keep up your good work!
